These pages contain my thoughts, from meandering ideas and persuasions to deep cerebrations and serious mentations.
Why, for what purpose? To release my mind and set creativity free. Somewhere inside the constraints of my mind dwells a writer, a poet, an artist who paints with words. In here I release those constraints and set the artist free.
Perhaps, lost somewhere in the depths of thought, is a story or a poem, waiting to be written.
I got a good air purifier last spring hoping to keep the dust down. It has a HEPA filter that takes out those really, really small things like smoke and maybe some nasties. It doesn't seem to do much for the dust, but it's fun to watch it tell us how many small particles per million has been in the air. It's especially noticeable when we cook or fry things and that grease is in the air. It also should keep the inside mostly free of vog since the wind isn't blowing it away while the volcano keeps erupting it.
Hope your do-everything machine does everything you want it to.
I got a few short stories that was inspired by here. Some one says something, and my mind catches it and boom. Instead of pinballs bouncing around there slips a few words of a story.
Stay safe and warm y'all š!
It's freezing here on the Mississippi coast but no snow āļø! Up north they got some.
Used to get some big ones in Oregon!
Beholden I reside in Minnesota. The area is disputed but it's either the southern part of northern Minnesota, or the northern part of central Minnesota.
š HuntersMoon We should be getting amounts like that here, but the last few years have us a tad spoiled. I haven't been out yet this morning, but it's looking like maybe a couple of inches is all we have so far, and it's not snowing right now.
We seldom get snow in this part of VA but 8" arrived Thursday/Friday and another 2" last night. The only folks happy were the private snow plows and the driveway shovelers.
Today I set up the air conditioner in the living room. Yes, you read that right, the A/C. Why? And, why didn't I think of this before?
Every fall when the temperature drops down to a comfortable level, we clean the A/C unit and pack it away for the winter. It's a portable unit, on wheels, that vents out through a window. It has multiple functions; cooling, heating, dehumidifying, and fan. It also has an ultraviolet function to kill germs in the air.
So, why not leave it set up year round? I suppose we could since it's also a heater (heat
pump). I just never thought much about it. That is, until today when I noticed it tucked in beside the dryer. I pulled it out and set it up in the living room as just a fan, turned on the ultraviolet light function, and started cleaning the air.
I don't know if it will speed up our recovery, or if it had been running sooner, prevented our getting sick, but after about an hour the air smells cleaner and fresher!
