Brothers and Sisters on the Wrong Side of the Divide WW2 version: Brothers separated when the family moved to America years ago. They were told the other one has died or lost during the last helter-skelter days of WW1 in Germany. Then, the two brothers find out that they command the opposing tank battalions in the Battle of the Bulge, December 1944. One is a German Major and the other an American Captain. And their tanks are closing in for the final kill... Iraqi variation: An Iraqi family with 2 sons and 2 daughters migrate to Detroit, Michigan during the First Gulf War. One of the sisters get lost in the transition and the family prefers just not to talk about it. One of the boys joins the the Marines and ends up in Falluja, Iraq in 2006 as a Marine interrogator of the captured terrorists. He never thinks twice about his job until he starts interrogating a notorious female bomber Najla.. Najla starts to really get under the skin of our protagonist when she starts disclosing certain details about her private life and family background that sounds too familiar for comfort... |
