A Journal to impart knowledge and facts

July 22, 2015

I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

A muse? Of course I have a muse? If I did not get help I could not write at all. I think I might have entered this subject with Steve

, I'm not sure Steve thinks the muse is real.

I am sure people talk to someone in their minds. Be careful what the other person says or suggests though. It isn't always what you want to hear. *RollEyes*

Before you think I'm *Crazy* A class of students discussed this when I took a writing class in college. We were assigned to read a book that was written by an author teacher. She had a muse that liked to tell her things to write when she was out on a walk. So, she carried a notebook and pen. Did you know you can buy waterproof writing paper and pens that work in the rain just for this kind of problem. *RollEyes* The jist or conclusion reached by the class is everyone has a mental muse.

And, to top it off, I happened to see the beginning of a Dr. Phil show, before I turned off the TV just this week. Dr. Phil was asking for a show of hands for people in the audience who talked to someone in their mind. He told them they should be ashamed if they did not raise their hands because everyone should admit to having advice from a mental voice. *Ha*

I used to have Bonzi Buddy on my computer. It was a neat purple Monkey who talked to you. I don't think it is available anymore. So, my daughter bought me a stuffed Bonzi Buddy Monkey who now sits on my desk and stares while I write. It is very disconcerting to have a staring monkey on your desk.

As for a muse Blog?? Hmm!! I'll have to ask my muse? It might be busy. I was so busy this week. I bought a fairy and forgot to pay for it. *Laugh* Once again I say Red Dragon
