July 22, 2015 I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done. I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them. I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC. |
 I will not be held responsible for any thing I may say today. Because, the weather person who I depend on said we "might" get a few snowflakes today south of I-90. So, I live in an A-frame. It has a very steep roof. At 6 a.m. The built up snow on the roof came roaring down which woke me up on a morning I planned to sleep in. We got a few snow flakes, and then a few more, and then a few more, since last night. My early morning walk to the barn was through 6 inches of snow. Plus, there was a skunk at the back steps last night which I did not know when I let the dog out, into the dog pen, at 5 a.m. He was barking intruder. Then, I was bathing him at 5:15 uck!  It is still snowing and also blowing.Current events: I love to read the news so the prompt does not bother me. I would rather read it then watch it on TV because I can choose which news I want in depth info about. The news for any day is far more extensive than anything you see on TV. So, to get the real news you have to research it. The campaign news is bogus. It looks like propaganda being pushed toward electing Mrs. Clinton. She is the best prepared female candidate ever to run. But, it is to early to be campaigning. If you want to know more about how I feel about this you can read my comment to Neva. Cosby is truly a shocker! So was President Clinton! Many years ago, Black actors and actresses were using a lot of ribald words in their movies etc. Cosby made a comment at the time that if Black people in movies ever wanted to be taken seriously in the profession they would have to clean up their act and be more socially acceptable. Now, we find out he is a rapist and should be in prison. How did this go on so long without publicity? Why didn't some woman shoot him he was obviously in some kind of sexual misappropriation?  Why, Why, are we suppose to care that some retired basketball player overdosed on drugs in a brothel. Not the first time, right. If he is mental someone get him help but don't expect sympathy from the mass public. Surely, there is news out there more worthy of coverage in the media.  Real or a publicity stunt?OK.
