A Journal to impart knowledge and facts
July 22, 2015

I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

The unopened letter in the Library. for WDC newsfeed:

Monday morning:

Jessica the Librarian says: {i" Jane. please open the mail. There is a pile of it on the desk. I have to catalog the new books. "

I opened the mail there is one unopened letter addressed specifically to Connie. I put it on her desk.

Jessica replies: "Connie won't be in until tomorrow morning."

Tuesday Morning:

As Jessica hangs up her coat she comments, "Connie left an email she won't be in today."

Jane slides her chair back and replies, "What about the unopened letter on her desk?"

Just leave it there until tomorrow.

Wednesday Morning:

Jessica hurries in with her hands full of books and mail. "Here Jane, open the mail. Connie won't be in for the next week. The library is closed until Saturday."

Jane opening the mail states, "We really need to get funding for another helper."

By Saturday the unopened letter for Connie still propped on her desk is forgotten in the rush to catch up on library chores and Connie has notified she will not be in for the next few days because of a family emergency...........

Congratulations on your virtual blogging adventure! Prompt: THAT GADGET.

Hi! It seems Sundays I'm on my own. Today I opened a gadget for sale page. You know, the one that states 50 high tech gifts available.

Truly, I like the idea of some of these tech gadgets as gifts to make Christmas a little different. On the cost side I probably won't have more Christmas money this year than any other year.

I saw a small drill there with a big advertisement. I checked it out once in the summer. It did not have the power it really needs to be worth the money. You could probably buy a better one at Home Depot.

The handheld chain saw? I would really like to see one in action. It sounds like an awesome tool. We have a normal size chain saw. The chains have to be maintained. A chainsaw can be a dangerous tool if you are not trained in the proper way to use it. The teeth don't bite like a blade on a jig or skill saw. With out seeing a handheld model in action I wonder how safe it really is to use.

There were lots of health items available. Toys are fun at Christmas. One year all the adults in the family received toys from a family member. We had a good time.

Let me know if you have an opinion or have used some of these advertised objects.

See Ya! signature dancing owl
