I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.
I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.
I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.
I've written my own obituary and I've updated it each time I've moved. I've got some more work to do to finish my updated will but if something were to happen my existing will won't be the worst case scenario either. I just feel that the more I have in order the less stress my children will have on their plates.
I so agree! I'm about to throw up on the election rhetoric and especially the attacks and counter-attacks. Not to mention what those can do to growing children's psyches!
My kids were in 4-H and one of them wanted to raise a goat. I bought 2 adult females, Alpines; one had three kids and the other two. After a few years, we had a small herd. We drank and sold milk. We also made yogurts.
Nice, I like the action.
Is it the movie, The Rouge Stallion? I think it took place either in Australia and/or New Zealand. I recall watching something like that on TV.
Prompt: "Patience is learned through waiting. " Eyen A. Gardner Write about this in your Blog entry.
Good Morning.
The prompt for BCoF today was about death. Hope the people waiting for me to die are learning patience. Not a subject to take lightly either patience or death.
I think it is easy to lose patience when you are being harassed. And, I guess you always have to remember what is said about the People Wo Make Things Happen. Over the centuries these kinds of people whoever they may be can make life purely miserable when they meddle with a normal lifestyle.
Another subject equals meddling. If you lose your patience because someone else is meddling in your life. It is understandable. Patience, Peace, and Prosperity are always better than war, destruction, and desperation.
We're all going to pass at some point in time, which piece of your own writing would you like to be remembered by/with. If not a piece of writing what other remembrance would you choose?
Hi. From Apondia
I'm not criticizing death. I recently read in an esoteric science book. Death is something every living thing passes through on its way to extending life.
I'm going to leave it to the choice of the family. It is interesting, just lately a lot of people continue to dwell on death. I just try to make every day count, while I'm still here. I did start a will this summer. The will probably won't have any affect if I die before Keith. I do think someone will want my rolodex if I die. Actually, they probably want it now.
Since college I have had 2 how-'tos' on my desk. One is 10 guidelines for writing news. The other is 9 obituary guidelines. Maybe I will write my own obituary and leave it behind. If I follow the guidelines, it might be an awesome piece of writing.
Any of you out there who are constantly thinking of your death want help with your obituary let me know?
God willing I'll be back tomorrow, if I make it through today.
Quote: Revelation 21:4 - "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Hope is eternal.
