I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

Interesting story, Judith. I think you're familiar with tornados. I've experienced two, thankfully we weren't in the direct path for the brunt of the damage. It takes a community to restore things back to some kind of normalcy.

I've written my own obituary and I've updated it each time I've moved. I've got some more work to do to finish my updated will but if something were to happen my existing will won't be the worst case scenario either. I just feel that the more I have in order the less stress my children will have on their plates.

I so agree! I'm about to throw up on the election rhetoric and especially the attacks and counter-attacks. Not to mention what those can do to growing children's psyches!

That was an AWFUL way to wake up.

My kids were in 4-H and one of them wanted to raise a goat. I bought 2 adult females, Alpines; one had three kids and the other two. After a few years, we had a small herd. We drank and sold milk. We also made yogurts.

I love chocolates :) I would love your fudge.

Is it the movie, The Rouge Stallion? I think it took place either in Australia and/or New Zealand. I recall watching something like that on TV.

Quick Hello

Just a couple updates: Still fighting whatever glitch is affecting whether my computer boots or not. It worked for several days last time then has not worked since. Using K's computer today. So, back to writing by hand since no way to print or save copies or a journal on this computer. Also, no way to post writings. Nevertheless, onward into life's next adventure.

Just a quick tip for those who never did the math. If you read 3 chapters in the Bible a day you will finish the entire Old and New Testament in one year.

I'm grateful for the English grammar help I get when I work on the computer. It corrects mistakes as I go along. Makes life easier.
