What a lovely story. If I was born then, I definitely would've been a hippy, protesting war and listening to 60s music and being vegetarian. I've been known to wear the odd tie-dye skirt in my time. That life would've suited me to a T.
Love this. I got a thing for octopi anyway, they are so smart - and so interestingly different. So where is that tribe? A great poem, I can see them in my mind. An original idea. Thank you for posting
It was such a memorable time, wasn't it? We lived through that. I was thrilled when I realized that my parents next door neighbor had been a hair dresser in England. She married a man and moved to the states. She was really young when she married him. I thought she looked like Petula Clark and Julie Andrews, that sort of look. She is still my friend - she's in her 80s now.
We never know what will happen in our futures, do we?
I've always been an ABBA fan and it was nice to see that their musical influence lives on via your poetry.

My favourite stanza was the last one with the humorous twists of getting over the person.
