Just for the record, as someone who lives in Los Angeles (and relatively close to some of the "hot spot" areas), the protests both prior to and during the "No Kings" events were neither riots nor insurrections.

There were definitely some incidents of specific individuals taking things too far (like the widespread images being circulated of a couple driverless cars being set on fire), but the protest activity was — and continues to be — entirely within the ability of the LAPD and LASD to manage without the need for additional reinforcements from the federal government. The leadership of both of those law enforcement organizations (which are two of the largest and best-funded in the country) has said as much, and I've had friends at those protests who have all reported that the activity was mostly nonviolent aside from those few isolated incidents.

It's definitely a serious situation to be sure, but I thought it was worth commenting on because Los Angeles is not experiencing nearly the level of chaos and disorder as certain media outlets and political operatives would like you to believe. Take it from someone who lives here and is able to go about their business as usual!

Yes, do you blog now? I scrolled down and I didn't see any comments or likes. That would be discouraging for me. I wonder if you change the rating if that would help you get exposure. Someone else said the other day that their blog wasn't listed as active and the answer was the blog's rating.

Cut short again. lol.

This may be short as I may be going to church. I don’t mind being there for the sermon but not the “party” afterwards. I can’t stand being around those individuals - not now anymore. They don’t deem me worthy enough to talk to. My “apparent” friend Ben will be leaving for Turkey. He is in the air force. I just realized that if any individual in the young adult group were to leave like Ben, they would send that person off with a party. I am the only one who would not be so appreciated. I am an outsider. But in Heaven the first will be last and the last will be first. I’m at the bottom of the social ladder but it will be different in Heaven. I just need to get closer to Jesus. I’d prefer for Him to like me than normal people.
I should call Joel and Leslie. They will hang out with me.
Anyway, to get away from that negative stuff, I made to the gym.
Well Chad is on the phone. Bye, bye.
