Just for the record, as someone who lives in Los Angeles (and relatively close to some of the "hot spot" areas), the protests both prior to and during the "No Kings" events were neither riots nor insurrections.
There were definitely some incidents of specific individuals taking things too far (like the widespread images being circulated of a couple driverless cars being set on fire), but the protest activity was — and continues to be — entirely within the ability of the LAPD and LASD to manage without the need for additional reinforcements from the federal government. The leadership of both of those law enforcement organizations (which are two of the largest and best-funded in the country) has said as much, and I've had friends at those protests who have all reported that the activity was mostly nonviolent aside from those few isolated incidents.
It's definitely a serious situation to be sure, but I thought it was worth commenting on because Los Angeles is not experiencing nearly the level of chaos and disorder as certain media outlets and political operatives would like you to believe. Take it from someone who lives here and is able to go about their business as usual!
Yes, do you blog now? I scrolled down and I didn't see any comments or likes. That would be discouraging for me. I wonder if you change the rating if that would help you get exposure. Someone else said the other day that their blog wasn't listed as active and the answer was the blog's rating.
The main thought of this entry was the three writing prompts, yet you acted as though the writing was insignificant. I WONDER IF YOU REALLY WANT COMPANY, NOT THE WRITING ITSELF.
I liked it a lot. I would like to know more about this. Thank you for your post. I love to follow your blog to get good information. I like to read your blog to get best articles. Today has been okay. I got out of bed at like 11:30 am. I missed the gym unfortunately too. I am eager for my PS4. I planned to play my PS3 today after Jim wen to work, but Jim is off Albertson’s. That is like the third or fourth day in a row. It’s gotten a lot colder. I noticed it last night at church. I decided not to go out to eat after service. I just wanted to go home. I saw Ricky after not seeing him for two weeks.
My IPhone is not giving a ring tone when people text me. Sometimes it does work.
I called Chad twice with no answer. I usually always pick up when he calls. lol. He may be playing his Jason game. Chad has done that before. He wouldn’t like it if I did that.
Part of my left eye is red. It began hurting at church. It just came out of nowhere. I showed my mom and she put some eye drops in them. It lessened the redness a little. I may not have to see a doctor. (=
Jim went to work after all. He works at Albertson’s at around 4 pm. He just left.
Well, I have to go and watch something with my mom. Goodbye.
