Just for the record, as someone who lives in Los Angeles (and relatively close to some of the "hot spot" areas), the protests both prior to and during the "No Kings" events were neither riots nor insurrections.

There were definitely some incidents of specific individuals taking things too far (like the widespread images being circulated of a couple driverless cars being set on fire), but the protest activity was — and continues to be — entirely within the ability of the LAPD and LASD to manage without the need for additional reinforcements from the federal government. The leadership of both of those law enforcement organizations (which are two of the largest and best-funded in the country) has said as much, and I've had friends at those protests who have all reported that the activity was mostly nonviolent aside from those few isolated incidents.

It's definitely a serious situation to be sure, but I thought it was worth commenting on because Los Angeles is not experiencing nearly the level of chaos and disorder as certain media outlets and political operatives would like you to believe. Take it from someone who lives here and is able to go about their business as usual!

Yes, do you blog now? I scrolled down and I didn't see any comments or likes. That would be discouraging for me. I wonder if you change the rating if that would help you get exposure. Someone else said the other day that their blog wasn't listed as active and the answer was the blog's rating.

2nd quiet time...

I only have 15 minutes to write.
The day started well. I did not go to the gym. )= My mom and I had veggie burgers for dinner. If it were not for all the condiments, it would have been nasty; it was hard to bear even with them. I had broccoli too. I had this twinge of pain around my pelvis. It was scaring me. I asked where it hurt and if constipation could do it; she said yes and promptly gave me prescription laxatives. I’ve yet to feel anything. lol.

You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed that you should bear fruit. And that your fruit will remain.

I still don’t recall the whole passage. It was in Psalm.
Something peculiar occurred. After reading two chapters, out my the book I’m reading, I felt as though God was giving me the green light to play games. But I could not because of my quiet time that needed attention.
Well, I have to bounce. Goodbye.
