Just for the record, as someone who lives in Los Angeles (and relatively close to some of the "hot spot" areas), the protests both prior to and during the "No Kings" events were neither riots nor insurrections.
There were definitely some incidents of specific individuals taking things too far (like the widespread images being circulated of a couple driverless cars being set on fire), but the protest activity was — and continues to be — entirely within the ability of the LAPD and LASD to manage without the need for additional reinforcements from the federal government. The leadership of both of those law enforcement organizations (which are two of the largest and best-funded in the country) has said as much, and I've had friends at those protests who have all reported that the activity was mostly nonviolent aside from those few isolated incidents.
It's definitely a serious situation to be sure, but I thought it was worth commenting on because Los Angeles is not experiencing nearly the level of chaos and disorder as certain media outlets and political operatives would like you to believe. Take it from someone who lives here and is able to go about their business as usual!
Yes, do you blog now? I scrolled down and I didn't see any comments or likes. That would be discouraging for me. I wonder if you change the rating if that would help you get exposure. Someone else said the other day that their blog wasn't listed as active and the answer was the blog's rating.
The main thought of this entry was the three writing prompts, yet you acted as though the writing was insignificant. I WONDER IF YOU REALLY WANT COMPANY, NOT THE WRITING ITSELF.
I liked it a lot. I would like to know more about this. Thank you for your post. I love to follow your blog to get good information. I like to read your blog to get best articles. Technically I’m not supposed to be doing this as it is after 7 P.M. But I want to put something.
Well I slept pretty well last night even with the heart monitor hooked up to me chest. Yesterday When I came home I thought I may have leaned up against the edge of the counter and pushed a button on my waist unit. I was really distraught. Then a called up the doc’s office. I told that the unit screen was flashing military time. She said it was nothing to worry about.
I’m so happy it’s off. I also got four vials of blood drawn. I’m scheduled to go back for the blood and heart results in a week.
I got my new coffee maker delivered to my door. It’s simple to use: you fill up the water container, put coffee grinds in the filter than you press on. It can make as much as 20 oz. at one time. That’s more than my coffee cup I use.
Well, it’s late. I will bid the ado.
