Had to write something in this space when creating the book.

I had a mess of ants, the small kind, in my bedroom only. I think I conquered the problem. There was a line of ants going across the front of my dresser (on the floor immediately in front of it) and then on the floor to a shoebox of candy that didn't close well, and to my bag that had spilled candy in it. So I cleaned out the bag and got rid of the box of candy. I had to go to work and on the way to work bought spray and a package of baits. Store receipt says it was on June 20 (Wed.) When I got back after work, the ants were gone! But they reappeared after an hour or so, on the same path. So I sprayed all along the path. The ants were dead. But they came back the next day going to the Butterfinger candy bar (opened but closed) sitting on top of the dresser. I threw it away in the kitchen trash can. I sprayed the part of the top of my dresser and put out one of the baits. The ants were gone by the next day. Have not been back.

I was just about to start another job for which I had been hired, and had finished the previous job, and then all of a sudden I didn't want to leave the original job, after having wanted to change jobs.
I have been wearing a costume (Mickey Mouse, Tigger, frog, parrot, Dalmatian dog) and a sign and standing by a busy street waving at the cars going by, for an apartment complex. At first I used a daily temporary job service and was sent on these jobs along with two other people, each person at a different apartment complex. The manager at one of the places decided to hire me, and I took the offer so that I could have a regular job.
I didn't enjoy the job. I had to be outside, and in the winter I would get frostbite at least, and in the summer I would sweat constantly. It was winter when I started doing this. I would wait for winter or summer to end. I mean I would count down. (I don't work in the rain. I take the day off or take a break. I could lose pay for taking off for all or part of a day.) I was bored just standing and waving at cars. The job started at a nice hourly wage, to compensate for the conditions. I had a long commute.
I would stay with the job for a while before looking for another job. I felt I should stay at whatever job I had. I was hired in March 2016 and started applying for jobs in January 2018. I took the first job I was offered, on March 14, 2018. I took the drug test and did the forms. The manager contacted me and we arranged for me to start Monday, March 26.
My last day of work at the old job was the Friday before. I packed my things I had been keeping there and had them in my everyday bag and another big bag and took them home. After Friday I was done with the job and planning to start the new job on Monday.
But then something clicked. I was overcome with sadness now that the job was over. The job was simple. I was good at it (some people went into the leasing office because of me). The costumes were cute. I had been doing this job for a while. I liked the independent work and break schedule and the people in the office. So I decided on Sunday that I would go back to the old job and not start the new.
I wouldn't know until Monday morning whether I would be allowed to return. I called my supervisor then. I was accepted back. I can stay at this job.
I found a new appreciation for this job after trying to leave it, even though it has problems, mentioned above. Now the good outweighs the bad. Spring has just started so not too cold until next winter or late fall.
