Instagram, YouTube? I dunno. I want to write some stories placed in Thailand... maybe a screen play... complete with music in Thai/Lao. I've even sang some to myself (melody/images rather than words). My voice left me long ago but that shouldn't stop me from singing.

I wish... I was looking forward to my high-school reunion... but covid. I no longer live close to where I grew up. None of them live here. I have to rely on new connections.

I didn't connect well as a child. Never quite felt at ease in my skin and I wasn't taught how to get along.

So I've spent a lifetime working on connections. Sometimes it worked! No need to mention the other times.

I continue stumbling on my journey.

Glad you went.

I can imagine it would be overwhelming for the senses. I live in quiet and will need to adjust next time I travel. I mostly live in silence and that's not in my forecast.

Yes, I remember jarts. We were careful. I didn't play marbles. I came to dislike Monopoly. Later I learned to dislike Risk.

I prefered card games. I played to win. Of course, I lost as well.

I'd be pissed and demanding to be paid for answering the phone! I worked 11 pm - 7 am. I did NOT works days. I did NOT work evenings. I slept 8-4 and told friends not to call me unless the house was burning down. I literally could not work if I didn't have enough sleep.

Some at that time thought we should have rotating shifts. The night crew adamantly said NO. My opinion? Rotation is an abuse and so are many schedules for police and hospitals. I've worked both. You want a doc or a cop who's worked 16 hours straight to look after you?

New York

Getting excited about New York! It has been 3 years since i traveled anywhere, so looking forward to the escape. Watching my daughter sing will be the highlight but just seeing the sights will be grand. It may seem strange but for me enjoying the new aromas and listening to different sounds of a city I have never experienced will be a thrill. I can remember when my daughter had gone for the first time in High School, how excited she was about the many languages she heard and the differences in the everyday people she saw. To this day, she says it is a beautiful blend of cultures and a conglomeration of lively souls that draw you into the spirit of the city. She wants to live there one day,I am, however good just for a visit. But it has always made me proud that my kiddos are so accepting of the differences of people. They show no preconceived biases and are enthusiastic in learning about the cultures of others. We somehow managed to pass on the kindness and tolerance gene and it makes a mama feel good.
