Even short entries like this count. It keeps the gas from backing up and... well, no need to go there...

Instagram, YouTube? I dunno. I want to write some stories placed in Thailand... maybe a screen play... complete with music in Thai/Lao. I've even sang some to myself (melody/images rather than words). My voice left me long ago but that shouldn't stop me from singing.

I wish... I was looking forward to my high-school reunion... but covid. I no longer live close to where I grew up. None of them live here. I have to rely on new connections.

I didn't connect well as a child. Never quite felt at ease in my skin and I wasn't taught how to get along.

So I've spent a lifetime working on connections. Sometimes it worked! No need to mention the other times.

I continue stumbling on my journey.

Glad you went.

I can imagine it would be overwhelming for the senses. I live in quiet and will need to adjust next time I travel. I mostly live in silence and that's not in my forecast.

Yes, I remember jarts. We were careful. I didn't play marbles. I came to dislike Monopoly. Later I learned to dislike Risk.

I prefered card games. I played to win. Of course, I lost as well.

I'd be pissed and demanding to be paid for answering the phone! I worked 11 pm - 7 am. I did NOT works days. I did NOT work evenings. I slept 8-4 and told friends not to call me unless the house was burning down. I literally could not work if I didn't have enough sleep.

Some at that time thought we should have rotating shifts. The night crew adamantly said NO. My opinion? Rotation is an abuse and so are many schedules for police and hospitals. I've worked both. You want a doc or a cop who's worked 16 hours straight to look after you?

Kaleidoscope

My attempt to shed light on the mental health issues of so many people.

Kaleidoscope

Just can’t explain it
To those looking in
My kaleidoscope lens
Pattern the days of my life
where nothing makes sense
And what I hold dear
Becomes a jumble of fear
disconnected pieces of me
Where nothing seems real
And nothing seems good
With even words misunderstood

On these days I need a magic spell
SO, milky beads and muster seeds
Bring me through these dreadful weeds
Transport me far from mind-filled horrors
Carry me through dangerous floodwaters
Humpty Dumpty put my pieces together
I beg you please, hang on tight forever and ever

So hard to describe
Dismal feelings inside
No one can see,
Jig-sawed fragments
Of misaligned planets
A Kaleidoscope lens
like a piccolo out of tune
dance of the endless blue moon
Playing havoc in my head
With worried thoughts to fuel my dread
Can’t shake this song of mental woes
Emotions battled unopposed
