Interesting exercise looking back ten years. John and I became great-grandparents four times, that was pretty significant. 2017 I discovered Writing.Com which changed my life for the better, inspired me and often caused frustration as I struggled to write something vaguely interesting, funny or poignant.
Our dog Lucy came into our lives too, she fitted right in with us from day one, the three of us just hang out.
Staying healthy has been a priority over this last decade, trying to stay around to see how those great-grandkids turn out. 2019 let me down a bit in that department but getting better day by day.
Politically my adopted country has been very unsettled as we’ve lived through five prime ministers in the last decade, I think unsettled and unsettling has been a common phenomenon throughout the world during that time. The voice of Climate Change is getting louder, more strident and insistent, I’m afraid we can’t ignore that voice much longer.
