I like the idea that some of the proceeds go to charities. I wish that happened here but Nevada doesn't participate in the lotteries available. I think it has a lot to do with the casino's not wanting any competition.
Last year our daughter committed to becoming sober. This was not the first time, but this time she really was determined. Weeks turned into months, her father and I supported her unconditionally when her husband of 25 years gave up on her.
Our hopes are dashed once more.
How I wish I could do it for her. We’re getting too old now to keep the faith and my commitment as a mother to always be there and support my child has finished.
