Is there a story behind your middle name? If not, make one up!

Well! I feel deprived. What an assumption that I even have a middle name.🤭
I never knew why I didn’t get a middle name. My mother didn’t have one and yet she gave both my brothers one.
When people asked what my middle name was, I used to tell them, we couldn’t afford one!
As a result of my deprivation, I didn’t give my children one either. Solidarity I reasoned.
Maybe the reason I was attracted to my husband was because he too was a solo named person. Yet his three brothers all had middle names!
I need to know more. What are the reasons for this useless extra name? Can anyone enlighten me?
