Joy Thanks for your comments. Yes, you’ve right about things changing with age. I never thought I’d find myself incapacitated. Weird isn’t it? I’m sure we all have had the sense that ‘old age won’t happen to me!’ It seems life had other plans.😂
Hope your recovery after your knee surgery is progressing well.
Nice entry.
Like you, I don't do clothes shopping anymore, and with the arthritis, I stopped walking outside, but I walk inside the house and around the yard. Things change greatly as we grow older and older.

Hats off to you! I don't think I could do what you did. On the other hand, having a lot of people fixing things while you are taking care of the kids and trying to keep them safe would have its own downers, too.
Anyhow, so glad you could and did do all that! That's some feat to be proud of.
Lyn's a Witchy Woman I wish you a speedy recovery from your knee replacements. I understand it’s a painful operation but worthwhile. I’ll be thinking of you on Monday. 😉🤞🍀☘️ Good luck, Lyn
I agree the cheetos aka the man who wants to be Hitler and Putin rolled into one, his ignorance will definitely have global impacts.
I've been getting as much as I can in order before my surgery on Monday, February 3rd. I'm having my right knee replaced followed my left shortly after. Writing didn't fit in for me either. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the months ahead.
weather where I live is also unsettling. Took the dogs out for a walk yesterday had some sunshine but today is fog and rain on top of a couple feet of snow turning everything to slush.
Every year I look forward to something called January Thaw. This year we just had a new blizzard every couple days. If the thaw does not show up properly in February, the sap won't run properly from the trees less maple syrup probably. Anyway, forecast says sunshine tomorrow. If we have a freeze in the night all slush will turn to ice.
The feeling was amazing indeed. The first night was the scariest but after that I found so much joy in each task I tried. I've surprised myself on more than one occasion, Yes I can do anything I set my mind to doing.
Lyn's a Witchy Woman I can’t say I’d be tempted to go camping on my own, so I think you’re very brave. It would have given you so much confidence knowing you succeeded. Afterwords you must have felt as if there was nothing you couldn’t do on your own.
Imagine you had to create an art piece for a gallery or museum. What would you create?
I wonder what sort of gallery would agree to display any art piece created my me. Not one I would want to visit! 🤣
My display area would probably be an empty space. There would be a plinth covered in black velvet. A spotlight would light up the space. The notice would say The Emperors New Clothes, or Imagination.
This reminds me of a news item I read in the Guardian newspaper.:
A lot of people have fallen for a fake news report about ‘invisible art’. Collectors, claimed Canada’s CBC, are paying through the nose for the art of 27-year-old Lana Newstrom even though you cannot see any of it.
“Art is about imagination and that is what my work demands of the people interacting with it. You have to imagine a painting or sculpture is in front of you”, the artist supposedly said.
So yes, I think that’s what my exhibition would be like.
