| Had a wonderful day out yesterday with my daughter and Granddaughter Beth. We went to see Strictly Ballroom at the theatre. These were tickets Beth had brought me and her Mum for last Christmas. I love musicals and have seen many, but this was the best show I’ve seen. A glass of bubbles before the show and being with my two favourite people made the day. Waiting for hubby to get back from the hardware store and we’re going to take the dog for a walk and call. In at the pub for a spot of lunch. |
| Had a great day today. After my Creative Writing Class at the community center, I went to a talk at the library. It was called The secret life of authors. Three lovely young women, all published authors, gave a talk about their lives, the way they write and other topics. So interesting. | I’ve expended quite a bit of energy today, swimming this morning and a four kilometres walk this afternoon with the dog. The weather seems to be calming down after the crazy windy wet weather of the last week. I was happy to see my stories, The Reunion, and Dimitriou, were selected as Editors Picks in the Drama and Comedy newsletters this week. So happy! It is our grandson’s 22nd birthday today. Jacob was told this morning he’d been accepted in to the Australian Army. He’s been waiting for a year to get into the course he wanted. He’ll be working on Helicopters, which is what he wanted. I’ve heard on the grapevine he is going to propose to his long time girlfriend tonight. It will be her 21 st birthday, the same day as Jacob. What a great day for them both 💕 |
| Had a lovely surprise this morning to find I’d been awarded a package of gifts from the Rockin’Reviewers for completing the course. Entered a new story into my portfolio, I’m actually pleased with it, so hope it at least gets read. Went to the open day of the learning center this morning. Bought a few Knick-knacks for the kids from the white elephant stall. John got lots of books as usual. Called in to see daughter Sarah whilst we were in the neighbourhood. Sad about my granddaughter and her husband splitting up, they told the kids this week. Indi was the most upset, but she’s older and realised how different things will be. Such a shame. The rain has been steady and we’ve had a good soaking. It’s really cold though, so our log fire is working overtime. |
| A great day today, received my graduation merit badge. I’m now a member of the Rockin’ Reviewers. So excited. Had some lovely feedback about the final reviews I did to graduate. Thanks to Hannah and the team. I really feel at home here at Writing.Com. We have rain!! So excited to see rain after all the months of drought. My garden will be sighing with relief and so will the farmers. Had a lovely lunch at my friend’s house today with two of the best friends anyone could have. |
