Absolutely. And there are shows and movies I've forgotten I've watched. But people with working memories will never experience the joys of rediscovery!

Seriously, though, we change all the time, so the lens through which we view a story also changes, even though the story doesn't. Star Wars when I was 11 wasn't the same movie as Star Wars now (and I'm not just talking about Lucas' unnecessary edits). So even if you're reading the same book again, its meaning might change for you.

As soon as a classical song comes on and someone starts singing, that's when I turn mine off. Ewww....
As far as darkness, it's not really that dark. I always have enough light for my desk work area because I know what you mean by being able to see the keyboard even when you can type without looking.

I usually need quiet to focus, but sometimes I, like you, put on some classical music. But that doesn't usually last to awfully long before I turn it off. I've never thought about the darkness, though. I don't like when I can't see the keys on the keyboard. Not that I watch myself type, but it's just something with being able to see it.

I figure with this project at least I'll get some ideas for the future even if I don't get to 50,000 words, but I'm going to do my best.

Oh, I'm so happy for you! That's awesome. You don't need a big place to enjoy the country. As long as you're surrounded by grass and trees and quiet places to walk. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find the perfect place.

Such is the reason I am moving to the country. I don't live in large city, but I've still had enough hustle and bustle and noise.

700 people in the area I'm looking. I can't afford the biggest acreage, and there's WAY too many people nestled into the lake area, but we'll find something suitable.

I'm SO excited to get out there.

Nano (Rebel) Update

I'm doing the Nano Rebel thing this month, which means I'm not doing a novel this year. Instead I'm writing a non-fiction book that I've had in the back of my mind for several years now.
