Thanks for your entry in the Bard's Hall Contest. Word Count was listed in accordance with the rules.
I thought the opening was engaging and the salutation addressed a reader. The letter takes a look at the author's life, where it was going and how it COVID had influenced change. The letters ends on an upbeat note.
Wow. Cool story...hope you plan more. I normally don't go in for sci-fi, but this story is intreging..holding my attention. From your blog, I will be visiting your pages. Thanks, Seabreeze
I like the narrative your making here? I don't know if you did more with this or if this was just a one off but I love this so much. If you did do more with this please email me at this sight or send me a link? If not I would still like to know more about you writing style.
This was vary fun short story, I had no idea what was going to happen next but I found it quite funny. I was a bit surprised at the end, but looking back I could see how all that would make sense.
I try to make it through
I try to reach out to you
You who sees me through the frame
Sees me but is never watching
Watches but is never hearing
Hearing but is never listening
Listening but it's not getting through
What you're going to be up against
So listen when you still can.
Time is ruthless
But it's cruelty is essential
It'll forget you and gradually
You shall disappear.
And if you don't make it,
Nothing will be left of you.
But even if you do,
You'll be able to stay a bit longer
Leave something more for your children
A frame, a memory, and a sense of decay,
Let them know that there's no point.
This frame of time will be snatched away by time,
We'll all wither, we'll all decay,
We'll all fall apart, even as a frame,
So while you still can try to find
Why you're still here, whats the point
Try your hardest to make it through,
Because you if you don't you'll lose it for good.
