Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Psalm 94:12 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law; 13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. Why are we blessed when God chastens us? What do these verses mean? Answer: We are blessed when God chastens us because he is treating us as a loving Father treats his children. He is wanting us to correct the bad behavior so we will have Godly character. God teaches us his laws so we can follow them.

Observations: Verse 3- Honour true widows. Verse 9- A widow under 60 is not a helpless widow. Verse 10- Talks about why you should help widows. Application: I am not a huge fan of this topic. I believe in helping widows when they need it, but we do not live in an ideal world. There are many a res of gray. The Bible does help define some of these areas where others, such as this one, I feel a bit uncomfortable with. Just because a widow isn’t 60 years old, shouldn't make her not a true widow. I think circumstances need to be examined in the situation. It is like saying in this passage that all unmarried women under 60 are busy bodies and gossips. This is not always true even if it may be common. I am not sure how to deal with Scriptures and churches who seem to make unfair rules just because it is worded and interpreted a certain way in the Bible. Prayer: Dear God, If I am wrong in my attitude towards this, correct me. Help me to have the attitude towards widows and others that you desire me to have. What does eye contact mean to you? I do believe this, yes. I love looking a person in the eyes. For one, I like seeing their eye color. By looking someone in the eyes, you can read a lot of things non-verbally about them. You can see when some people are lying. You can see if there is happiness or sadness in their eyes. Sometimes you can even sense evil from someone’s eyes. You can sense other emotions too if you pay close enough attention to it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi everybody I am sending the prompt slightly earlier than usual. I wanted to send it before I got sidetracked and forgot. Your captain is a lot like the absentminded professor. I'm usually pretty smart but can go to the bathroom and forget why I'm there! lol Today cruising through the WDC galaxy we got a distress call from RandyJohnson71 (6) who writes about his wife learning to play violin. I tried to learn to play guitar, but I live at the WV Veterans Home. The guys said it sounded like I was "skinning cats" and the poor cats were alive! (Yes. I'm terrible.) Read
and tell us what you do when somebody tries to play an instrument but could not carry a tune in a ten gallon tub! I pray that this endeavor doesn't last very long or they get better at it in a hurry. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ![]() If you had an extra room in your home, what would you use it for? Probably storage or a spare bedroom/ work out room. Maybe all 3. I make crafts, but I don't want to be confined to one area. I like to go to different rooms to work on different crafts. Otherwise, I might make it a craft room instead.

Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Matthew 24:43-47 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. How can we be wise and faithful servants? Answer: To be a wise and faithful servant of Christ means to follow him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength without turning back. It means to be ready for him to return at any time. It is keeping our heart right with him.

Observations: Verse 1- It is good for a man to desire a position in office in a church. Verse 2- This person should have a good reputation, not have known sin, husband of one wife, sober, observant, hospitable, able to teach, and on his best behavior. Verse 3- Doesn't get drunk or do drugs, is not violent, not greedy, not a fighter, not coveting others’ property but should be patient . Verse 4- one who is able to control his children. Verse 5- How can a man take care of a church if he can't rule his own house? Verse 6- not a beginner so he isn’t overcome with pride.. Verse 7- He should also be able to have a good reputation and relations with people outside the church. Application: Only a very good man should hold a high position in the church. Prayer: Dear God, I pray for the men of my church who hold the higher positions that they may maintain a good reputation and fulfill your will for them and their families. Are you doing it to benefit others or yourself? I always have something happening. I have several things just on this website. I hope to benefit others more than myself. I am trying to make and sell crafts. That benefits the buyer and myself. I want to learn to play the guitar, and that will also benefit others and myself. I am a caregiver to my roommate also. Life is not just about me. It is about what I contribute to the good of others too. I want the world to be a better place because I was in it. Big Bunny The grasshoppers were a loitering The beautiful daffodils dancing Eggs all over the place Hidden for kids to find The big bunny left quick as lightning. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We had a party onboard today in the rec hall. Have you ever been bitten by alcohol? Tell us your favorite party memory. I am the daughter of a preacher. Sooooo, yes. 🤪 When I first got out of high school, I went a bit wild. I did not disappoint the reputation of preacher’s kids. I didn't do the hard drugs, thank God. I huffed when I was a teenager. Then after high school, I got my own apartment. My best friend teases me by telling me it had its own revolving party door. I have a few stories I could tell, but don't have time for that right now. I guess my favorite would be the night I decided to have a drinking contest with one of my guy friends. We had other friends around so they could keep the tally. We both sat down across from each other on a bar stool. My apartment had a breakfast bar at the time. I can't remember how many beers we drank. We both drank until he passed out. I was okay until I tried to get up and walk. Yeah, that didn't go so well. But hey! I won the contest. Although I had a nice mess to clean up the next day. Looking back now, I realize how foolish that was. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ![]() Use these words in your blog... courage, brilliance, bunny, daffodil and raindrops. After seeing the raindrops on the daffodil, the bunny felt his day would be filled with brilliance and courage.
