Kåre เลียม Enga I hung around my older brother and his friends a lot, so I got hit with things frequently. I did get a hard baseball to the bridge of my nose, so definitely that would have broken glasses if I had worn them. The whole neighborhood played, the young kids and even the teens, boys and girls, no exclusions. But as those were the days when parents were careful about expenses, I can see where the glasses were protected. Nowadays, they make prescription goggle eyewear for those who play sports. Still, I don't think everything is better. There's something about being outside as a kid.
I don't have these memories of my childhood. I couldn't see without my glasses and wasn't allowed to play with them. Someone throwing a ball at me was terrifying.
It was part of our daily summer activities, too and my backyard was the one that was long enough to make an acceptable baseball field with room for all the bases. I think we had better childhoods, kids don't spend all day outdoors anymore.
