Eric Hunt's thoughts about absolutely everything (and some other stuff too)
It could be reasonably argued that the year 2021 might go down in history as being one of the most bizarre years modern Humankind has ever lived through. I've heard some people remark in conversation that the year that most recently passed was, in their opinions, quite peculiar. While I most definitely support that idea, if questioned directly about the subject, I might be more inclined to describe 2021 as the indisputably, one-hundred percent, most-thoroughly, fucked-up, douche-canoe, dumpster-fire of an air-conditioned nightmare I never could have imagined.

Now, as time is of no consequence as I write for you this morning (although I intend to cover a lot of ground in a thoroughly rusty, neglected vessel of my own creation that moves at a pace best-characterized as "unpredictable") I will try my best to include a few of my insights and observations regarding the illness that captivated the imaginations of a majority of world-citizens and played into their most paranoid neurosis rendering even very-intelligent men and women completely stupid for the better part of two full years. These thoughts that I have on the Corona-virus will be kept brief simply because I continue to find the entire ordeal fantastically boring and I've very little if any desire to write anything of substance about the manner.
Before some of you decide that I have come to the conclusion that Covid-19 and its effects on the human race are redundant, over-sensationalized and ridiculous topics to waste bandwidth on because I had no first-hand experience with the virus, I will briefly explain
my interactions with the dread-pirate Covid.
My first bout with the illness was in the latter half of July, 2020 when the Corona-virus was hardly a blip on anybody's radar. I was, admittedly, incredibly ill because of it for four consecutive days after which I was completely , totally fine. I was mostly sickened by the reaction of my employer who imposed an unpaid twenty-one day leave of absence on me that left me utterly penniless and ultimately homeless for a short time.
In the later days of summer in 2021 (the end of July if memory serves) I accepted a position working as a front-line Community Support Worker for the Kelowna Gospel Mission. My job was to spend four days every week living in a room at a motel where every other room was occupied by a homeless person or romantic couple who was confirmed to be positive for Covid-19.
My skepticism was in my mind, all but substantiated last February the second time I contracted the virus. This time, i was quarantined in a remote motel for ten days, during which the only time i suffered anything resembling a symptom was the indigestion caused by the wickedness the staff laughably referred to as food
If anything can be learned from the invasion and response to the Corona virus it is that the general population is willing turn on one another in a heartbeat and stop at nothing to eliminate those who oppose their ideas almost immediately receiving any type of news that frightens them.

At the same time as seemiingly everybody else was turnng their lives upside down and backward in crutching fear of an illness quickly proving to be weaker than the average flu, i was turning my life in a completely different direction. now, I should make clear that the path I chose to take while thumbing my nose at the status quo, would, ultimately be equally as pointless and self-destructive. truth be told, I am quite positive that I came out of 2021 in far worse condition than just about anybody.
However, that actually remains to be seen. It could well end up alright for me for a change. but, before i begin prognosticating, i should begin to explain to you the year that I just lived through so that you may better understand the point of all this
