You had long, dark curls.
The kind the gods would
         twirl their pencils in
before drawing the rest of you.
We could sit in silence
         for hours,
murmuring our thoughts with
fingers roaming in all directions.
We can't take that back.
I tried to stumble but I fell.
Instead of picking me up
         you walked away.
I can't take that back.
         I tried.
Now I'm just a pin in your map,
but to me you were the globe
         of everything.
