When
I am
In a

Changes
Glory to
The musical notes
And texts

Note ▼Form: Cinquain
cinquain (SIN-cain): an unrhymed poem consisting of five lines arranged in a special way.
Planet
Graceful, ringed
Spinning, whirling, twirling
Dances with neighbor Jupiter
Saturn
A cinquain is an example of shape poetry. Because of the exact number of words required for each line of this poem, a unique, symmetrical shape is created from interesting, descriptive words. And what better time to learn how to write a cinquain than during National Poetry Month!
The word cinquain comes from the Latin root for “five.” Notice that the cinquain has five lines that follow this sequence:
Line A: One vague or general one-word subject or topic
Line B: Two vivid adjectives that describe the topic
Line C: Three interesting -ing action verbs that fit the topic
Line D: Four-word phrase that captures feeling about the topic
Line E: A very specific term that explains Line A
Here’s another example:
Insect
Hidden, hungry
Preening, searching, stalking
Waits as if praying
Mantis
*Heartp* Enjoy this form and have fun!!! *Heartp*

He called her
Baronesse Meow Meow to Mouse
And created
An Instagram account
For her
Meow Meow
Every other day
He bought new toys
So, she wouldn't
Be bored
Purr
For her
nothing was
too much
Purr
The reels online
were funny
and music-driven
Purr
The moving mouse
under the cloth
was the greatest joy
Meow Meow
For 5 minutes
- Then she moved on
Baronesse Meow Meow to Mouse
His greatest luck in life

an embrace of your massaging golden hand
the warmth of wonder, it's glowing from within
i am lying on my back head low, you stand
to my left, and making the moves on my skin
you on my right, soft angle, pressure point land
with thumbs on flesh, the fingers soft, rolling thin
awakening my sense of well-being now
there's a smell of jasmin in the mix somehow
with eucalyptus, some rose, and sandalwood
more up and down your grip tighter if you could
blessing our intimate moments as it should

You have a very tasty chest
Placing both my hands on top of your hairy skin, rubbing feeling following the lines engraved on the surface
Each hair is an island of thought of a life I know nothing about
They curl they touch they hold each other in a web of belonging
A mole, a change of color
Everything as it should be, as it is, as it ever will be
The tender knob of your pleasure hidden somewhat, shy, but proud
- Your nipple
I kiss with great fondness the grandeur of your body shaped to the form of a god

Imagining us drinking coffee, looking at you, talking: thrilling
Imagining us walking, touching hands: safety, trust
Imagining us in a warm water pool hugging, feet firm on the bottom: sensation of your body surrounded by warm fluids
Imagining us barely clothed, you massaging me: warmth, sincerity, openness
Imagining us

Cook the pasta
Put the onion mix back on the heat. Stir in the tomato purée and vodka. Cook for a few minutes then stir in the pumpkin purée and double cream and bring to a simmer

Alone for seconds

On our ruptured ways to where?

A promise to myself
A vow, a burden
But
No way out
Two months
Deep cleaning the house
Uncluttering
Tidying it up
No way out
No procrastination
No hesitation
Just start and do it!
Before you know it
It's done and
I'll be happy!
LC: 15
Note ▼Week # 9
Your poem should include the following phrase
"no way out"
Poems should be a minimum of 12 lines.
Be careful out there! |
