Thought I would start a writing blog. Just to track where I am at etc with new work and current projects.
So, my brain felt like mashed potato for a few days after NaNo, but I have hit the ground running with an average of 2000 words plus a day... My energy is being split between book two and the draft edit post NaNo of the Never Verse, and I hope to have that ready for a beta read in a week or so.
Those embracing it in the industry are blind to the fact it is going to end up making them obsolete in the end. I honestly don't listen to mainstream music these days. I simply can't as it is empty and soulless trash for the most part.
Exactly... That's what I thought: the music is so cheapened anyway, that it wouldn't make any difference to 99% of it if it was AI. A lot of literature is like that nowadays as well... Like, what's the difference?
All of these above sadly. Lyric generation for sure as well as melody, but don't get me wrong there are still some great artists and bands, but the signs are there, and it is creeping in quickly. Auto tune and AI driven mixing selection becoming the norm and I can only see it getting worse. Electronic music has driven it as well as the shallow nature of the music industry as a whole. Talent...? Who needs that when all you need is an AI to make the music, a pretty face and auto tune. Who cares if they can't sing, that is what auto tune is for.... See the problem?
Whoa wait, what did AI do to the music industry?! I'm a big music person, although I have an Asperger's tendency to laser focus on two particular bands which shall remain unnamed Anyway, I've been thinking about the impact AI will have on music for years now. What's up: lyrics? Cover art? Melodies? Where's the influence? I'm immensely curious!
Dave Ryan Probably right Dave that I should just leave it for a while. I have other things to work on, but it is hard and to be inconsistent easy to walk away from it for a while
