A new blog to contain answers to prompts

Since my old blog "Everyday Canvas " became overfilled, here's a new one. This new blog item will continue answering prompts, the same as the old one.

I unerstand. Age does make a difference in what you can do. I am 75 and cannot do tjings i used to..but i thank the Lord i can still do what i do.

Well... you're still eloquent!

Me? I'm struggling as the depth of the changes have caught me unaware. I'm a face-to-face paper-money dinosaur. I find this keep-everyone-at-a-distance shift frightening.

That said, yes, I change. I cannot travel and stay the same. But... rapid change is distressing.

"Crossing Quicksand" may be a way of summing it up.

Hi I'm glad you did! It made me think about playing War with my grandpa and gin rummy! I used to play canasta with a lady,who I babysat for. Funny how the subject brought out so many memories! I taught my grandson to play war and taught him not to cheat! Sadly he passed in 2020.

You don't write much about yourself ( I'm the opposite but maybe I shouldn't...)
I like what you wrote and wish you a blessed New year.
Ps I used to play solitaire with 2 decks of cards, now it's online! Our 2 kitties would probably mess with them 😉!

Playing with Words

Prompt:
Have fun with these words: explode, promote, reasonable, density, composition, compose, moment, prediction, reconcile and shallow.

How I Write

when thoughts of *density take hold
a *composition I muse, wild and bold

can I *reconcile dreams I might chase
and *reasonable lines I may place?

thus a *moment hangs by a fragile thread
while stars *explode, my fears are fed

I stand and face a *prediction unfound
to *promote my words, my rhymes rebound

beneath my plight, *shallow brooks flow
I *compose this poem and whisper low

ideas in fragments line up to be named
for after the chaos, my storm is tamed
