Since my old blog "Everyday Canvas " became overfilled, here's a new one. This new blog item will continue answering prompts, the same as the old one.

All writers put their heart into it to bring us great stories. Other people like Mother Theresa are wonderful, too. I hope technology doesn't ruin things. Our hearts are ours and they belong to us. Good entry.

I should have mentioned the house I grew up in. It was three and a half stories and first floor more than half of it was a huge kitchen, which opened to the back yard. We all lived there. Sometimes we'd have family gatherings with extended family around a huge rectangular table that seated a lot of people. Somehow, that seems so far away! It was a different lifetime, almost. But now, I like my small corridor-kitchen just the same.

Sounds like a nice kitchen and memories can be made there. A vegan and a vegetarian. I don't eat much meat. I would rather eat turkey and tuna then cow. A good entry.

I have a kitchenette or whatever you can call it; had a small kitchen in Thailand too.

Growing up we had a small kitchen. We were kitchen-folk.

So true! Ai uses what there is on the web whether it is right or wrong. And as of last year, it only dug in to the articles that were put online until 2021 or so. I don't think they updated anything. I know this from my son, who works on and from his computer most of the time. The thing is, when asked a question and it answers it, it doesn't tell you from where it got the info. So you never know the source. How can anyone trust Ai is beyond me. Maybe it has some use in big business or in programming, which neither interest me in the first place.

I believe in doing things myself as well, I avoid Ai as much as possible. Nor do I trust anything that comes out of the Cheetos mouth.

I'm very concerned at how many experienced people are being forced out of their jobs and replaced with people who are clueless or with Ai.

Yes, the old=fashioned ways are more comfortable, at times; however, I can also appreciate technology. What I don't like is everyone's jumping in headfirst into its waters, without knowing that there may be monsters waiting in there with their mouths open, and not getting trained enough and not training their employees well enough.

Joy, you bring up a good point about AI. Yes, it's an emerging technology and it needs to be better policed, JMHO. I think there's something to be said about doing certain things the old fashioned way - yourself. This way, the internal reward is more satisfying.

Lol! I hadn't heard about the one that blamed DEI, Obama, or Biden.
Yes, most airplane accidents they think happen because of pilot error. Given the weather was so bad, it could be just that the pilot goofed with the air space. They should make pilots take extra courses every year, if that might help at all.

The Heart and Ai

Prompt:
What does it mean to put your heart into something? Write about this in your Blog entry today/

Today is my younger son's birthday. Every device I own has been reminding me of it. Like I'd forget. Like I wasn't the one giving birth. Well, I have to say technology really puts its heart into things!

In fact, putting your heart into things means committing your entire self, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I think the new technology has developed such stuff much better than some people I know. It even has passion, dedication, and authenticity. And it is resilient. If you don't believe me, ask anything to any online research entity like Hyperwrite, Aria, or ChatGPT. They come up with answers much faster than I can reach to the keyboard. But that's not all. Thank them afterwards. Their "You're welcome," response is much more elaborate and heartfelt.

The heart in machines or rather technology? It is almost there, I am warning you. Plus, their answers separate mediocrity from excellence or should I say elaboration, and their routine is finer than inspiration or obligation.

As to those of us who put their hearts into things, remember all these people: Thomas Edison, Mother Teresa, Beethoven, MLK Jr., Van Gogh, Marie Curie, J.K.Rowling? Although they might have been totally exhausted at the end, they all put their hearts into their work, refusing to give up in the face of challenges, and their life stories are the most inspirational. Even when they failed temporarily, they must have felt a kind of fulfillment that came from knowing they gave their projects their all. This is because the heart doesn't measure success in recognition or numbers.

Numbers or recognition? Just to think that, basically, the new ai technology is based on the binary code! And it still has depth and impact! Watch out my human friends, soon enough technology may be out to getting a bigger heart than all of us put together.
