I agree with you. There is a lot of pagan influence in Christian traditions. Sometimes the best solution is to work on something else and come back to a project.
Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going into the garage makes you a car. I actually watch church a lot online anymore because being a caregiver doesn't always allow me to get away from the house when I want to. The main thing in my opinion is maintaining your relationship with God the father. I believe strongly that you do that by spending time with him like with any relationship. Just my personal opinion.
