I wasn't sure what KINTSUGI was so I looked it up, actually I have heard of the concept but I did not know that was the word. A good analogy to use in your poem

Thanks so much for the kind words, Jenny! Yeah, it's set in the American south, where states are trying to ban abortions and make it a crime to travel to another state to get one. This activity has been a lot of fun.

I love this Version of "She's leaving Home" - When I was a kid my Mum used to play the Sgt Pepper album and I loved this one, I like the way you have set it in America (Greyhound?) To make it a bit different. It tells a story and flows well. You have written some great poems for this competition!

Well, I know a herbal remedy or two...or some physical activity
that might do, might do.
Hugs and chin up.
We of the great order of wokeness will win in the end.

even those Repubs bubs will see
throught the orange hate and glee

And It Was All Yellow

The billionaires are at it again.
This one's going to Mars.
This one's murdering for profit.
And this one's going
out his damn mind.
What else is there to do
when you don't want to be
of use to anyone?
Five boarded a submarine,
built MacGyver-style
out of chewing gum,
banana peels,
and baby chick nests.
Operated by a video game controller,
the yellow-themed vessel
set off in search of
artifacts from a larger failure,
a much bigger nautical disaster.
An hour and a half later
terms like "we lost communication",
"maritime incident", and
"which one will we eat first"
were being thrown around,
much to the chagrin
of all involved in
the mission.
Yellow can mean many things;
on that day it stood for
implosion,
and they all went to heaven
in a yellow submarine.
