METAMORPHOSIS

Young April wakes with the breath of day,
Smiling your face at St. Patrick’s.

Bloomed May is promise of fresh rose,
Elume Grams wore you with noon crown.

Prime August comes, merchant of august Truth;
Dressing you with ’Kanu Ibiam’s love.

July rains the vistas of verdant Hope,
Ornating you with glories of Abraskis fame.

Sweet December comes with the echoes
Of fulfilled dreams,
Walking you triumphant in Sapele’s Heart.

Remember GACO; we cockroached along the streets,
Dodging the vampires of cock-tale wiles.

Remember GACO; we snailed the rail of loathsome tales,
Escaping stern venom of toadish greed.

Remember GACO, we were sardined in cells of dreams,
Smashing the nightmares of phantasy.

The crisis point,
GOA2 (2) comes in portioned Time;
Ushering our brains to revered heights.
