What brings a human to another dimension? What gives men fangs or wings? What else-destiny
[Introduction]

Cool fingers of wind combed through her white blond hair as Alizabeth Jadetalon rode the thermals high above a tiny green meadow. Every so often she turned her purple eyes to the ground below where a pair of children played. One of them had a tail and cat ears attached to his otherwise human body, traits common of all Felus, while the girl had these traits plus wings similar to the ones that sprouted from Alizabeth's back (a trait of all Falcus). This showed all Skylians that she belonged to the half-and-half race known as Felcus. This girl was Alizabeth's little sister, Allya, and was the reason that the young Falcus hovered aloft. Twenty years weren't that long to two races of people who could live to be in the thousands and while the younger generations were more welcoming there were still older generations and groups that thought that all Felcus should be wiped out.

Alizabeth's mother was a Falcus that had fallen in love with a Felus but for the sake of her family and married another Falcus, Alizabeth's father. With Caryn's ascension to the throne and Felcus on the rise towards acceptance, Arria divorced her Falcus husband and married her Felus soul mate. Alizabeth didn't begrudge her mother this happiness, her father was still a part of her life and her inspiration for joining the Skylian warriors.

"Hey, Lizzie, can we go home now?" Allya called up to her and Alizabeth winced. She wasn't that high up, only several hundred feet or so, screaming wasn't necessary but at only seven the little girl didn't understand that. The 47-year-old dived down, relishing in the feel of the wind whistling through her feathers. As she neared the ground, Allya and her friend jumped up into her arms so she didn't have to land and Alizabeth began winging her way home.

Carson Miller sighed as he stared under the hood of his Ford 150. After wiping most of the grease on his hands onto his worn jeans he reached and shut the hood. A pair of slim arms' encircled his plaid-covered waist. These arms belonged to his girlfriend Laura and she was on her way to work.

“I’ll see you later, babe.”

"I'll see you then." He answered absentmindedly, still puzzling over what all he had to do to get his truck back on the road. At least the garage he worked at was in his backyard so he didn't have to worry about making it to work without a drivable vehicle.

Carson carefully pulled the wheeled cart that he'd used to look under his truck out of his way, hanging it on a hook out of the way so he wouldn't trip on it later. He relied too much on his paycheck to risk injury on something so stupid.

He made his way over to the faucet that stuck out of the brick wall and tried to wash out more of the grease from his hands, hard to do when you've been working on cars for 20 years now. A sudden buzzing filled his ears and shook his head in an attempt to clear it but to no avail. Carson started up the front walk but suddenly tripped over nothing, holding his hands out to catch himself. A dark cloud washed over his vision as what felt like fire cloaked his skin, he could smell burning cloth and he knew no more.

A golden lightning ripped through the cloudless dark sky and smashed into the ground forming a red crack, like a crimson scar on the flesh. This earth was not green nor brown, it was not red or yellow, but grey. The sky was different, with foreign stars that could easily fool a sailor, and clouds were rare to see. Not a mile away from the red crack on the ground stood a 100-feet tall pillar, surrounded by sharp cuspes like the teeth of some horrifying monster. A whisper came from the top if the pillar, that could make one's ears ring. a few winged men flew around it. Those men were called Falcus. They were children of Skylia- a wondrous world of nature and life. The same world in which golden lightnings danced and giant pillars stood cold around the flirtings of mighty cuspes. The column had huge ingravings that showed ancient creatures of death and life. On top there stood three humans, or so they looked to be. One, was young and, with his arms raised, whispered scary vowels to the night, while something feline crept around the other two. Suddenly the man dropped his hands and a bright light appeared before him. Suddenly the other two started transforming into wild cats. They were children of Skylia as well, but were called Felus. The bright light suddenly desappeared but smoke started producing all around.

" Are you sure this will teleport a monster for us?" said one of the Felus growed at the man.
" Oh, don't worry, it's gonna be a monster all right." he answered with a smile.
" And we'll be able to control it?" the another grow came.
" Yes, whatever comes out we'll be able to control it."
" Whatever? You mean you don't even know what..." The felus said in amazement. Just as he was saying that the smoke disperesed and in front of them appeared the body of a normal human, naked and lifeless. "A HUMAN? A HUMAN? Is that what you call a mighty monster."
"Interesting!?" said the young man. "For him to answer a call of Might, he would have to be something very much impressive" he said as he spit in the mortal's face. The second that he did that, the human came back to life, breathing heavy.
" You said..."
" I know what I said. He may not be what you were asking for but I sure like him none the less." the youngster said playfully.
" Who cares about the human, let's just kill him and summon something else." One of the Felus said showing his claws, but covered his eyes as another bright light appeared. In a few moments the light disappeared and the human was gone.
"What? How can he... Where is he?" asked the two Felus.
"I teleported him somewhere random on this world. You need some hunting to keep you busy while I prepare the spell again and it will take quite some time." the felines growled back. "Know your places, maggots!" shouted the young man as his eyes grew red and he rose his right hand. The Falus hissed and pulled back in fear. "Good. Don't worry, you will get what you want."

Now that her sister was safely home, Alizabeth was finally able to soar freely on the breezes. She saw a few other Falcus doing the same and signaled greetings to them in the secret wing language known only to the ones with the appendages to form the often complex gestures. On an impulse she decided to pay a visit to her father, an older man about 5 centuries old and had recently retired from the Aerial Warriors.

Glancing down, she oriented herself over the deep blue Reyes River. Taking off, she powered forward and worked her wings hard to get the most speed as she could. Alizabeth adored her ability of flight and would never in the world dream of giving it up. A gigantic ball of light suddenly tumbled out of the sky, startling her. She hovered in the air to watch it fall to the earth then dove down after it.

Upon hitting the ground the sphere shape disappeared to leave behind a naked man huddled in a ball. From the lack of tail or wings she knew that he was human. Alizabeth quickly landed beside him, she hadn’t met any humans in her lifetime though she had studied their culture while in school and knew that there would have been an uproar if one had been coming to visit so his arrival had to have been unplanned.

Carson groaned as he awoke, feeling fuzzy-headed like he'd been on a drinking binge but his last memory was of him walking into his garage, where the alcohol factored into it he didn't know. He was lying in a field of thick grass though the smell of the crushed blades was stronger and somehow carried a hint of cinnamon with it.

"Are you okay, sir?" At the sound of another voice, Carson's eyes popped open and soon focused on the young lady who was leaning over him with a worried look on her face. She looked odd with her purple eyes and white hair, had to be some sort of fashion statement. He slowly sat up, the sky looked bluer and the leaves on the trees greener. He heard the crack of a branch breaking and the stranger jumped to her feet, squinting as she tried to peer through the forest gloom.

The spotty sunlight played havoc with her vision as but she could understand what the flash of a furry tail disappearing behind a tree trunk meant. 'Aeryn's Daughter' she hissed under her breath.

"I'm sorry that I don't have time to be more polite but if you'll pardon me..." Alizabeth quickly slipped off her cloak and draped it around the nude human. He moved slowly as he pulled it on so she could tell that he was still disoriented from his phase. She couldn't phase herself but had accompanied her stepfather a few times and could absolutely sypathesize with him.

“Where- where am I?” Carson struggled to ask. He looked around him, trying to bring his heavy eyes to focus on his surroundings but they merely drooped shut all the more. Then the oddest feeling came over him. Even with his eyes barely open he could sense the movements of his strange companion.

Alizabeth stood completely still, ears tuned in hopes that they would pick up the tell-tale movements of the Frenith that hunted them. About the size of Earth’s bobcat, they had seven claws on each paw and a cluster of three barbs on the end of their long tail. They were extremely ferocious predators. She barely heard his question when a branch cracked. In one smooth motion, she hooked an arm around his waist while she threw his arm around her shoulders.

“Hold on,” she warned before she kicked off the ground as the creature pounced at them, landing just beneath their feet. Alizabeth scrambled to get them aloft, her wings painfully pumping up and down before she remembered to spiral in order to gain height. The man started to struggle violently until she caught his eye, willing with all her might for him to relax. He did relax, right into unconsciousness and for a few seconds she felt bad, but her relief that he couldn’t unbalance her flight anymore outweighed it.

“I’m sorry, sir.” She whispered, making a beeline for her father’s house.

*30 minutes later*

Alizabeth landed heavily on her father’s sky port. She gently laid the man down and collapsed beside him, exhausted.

((I’m having trouble writing as Carson AND Alizabeth, would you wanna write Carson?))
