Red

Allam Zahmir is a seventeen-year-old boy who lives with his parents and two younger brothers in a small Muslim community. His peers find him a bit creepy, due to his love of torturing animals, but his best friend Army encourages his activities. One night, she dares him to kill his eight-year-old brothers. From there on, things get... complicated.

Zain Nasib is pretty weird. He likes American comic books and superheroes and is in general... well, an overall dork. Hardly hero material. But when both he and Allam are tossed into a world beyond the mirrors, they're told one or the other could be the Red Prince of Shavikahr. It's up to them to prove who's worthy enough. Allam thinks he knows who'll win. Zain just wants to go home.
