After learning that his best friend has fallen sick, Jacob pushes him, and their three close friends to skateboard three hundred and eighty miles north of their rural homes in Chatsworth, California to San Francisco in order to finish their skate video before Justin is bedridden. On this Journey the boys experience love, hate, joy, and grief, from smoking their first cigarette, getting into their first fight, to realizing they are going to lose their first friend.
