They'd just wanted a little fun. Maybe go and down couple of humans in the local bar, chat up a margarita or two.

After getting into a fight with the local bouncer, a pure malt whiskey that looked as if he could put hair on anyone's chest, they decided to roll around town and try and inebriate the nearest nightclub.

Unfortunately, they staggered into a rival bunch of foreign bottles, led by the beautiful Russian Vodka, Bison Grass. The locals weren’t equipped for a fight with eastern beer, and a lot of the bottles lost it.

One hour later, punch-drunk and just a little boisterous, they stole the local brewery's delivery van.

As bottles of beer aren't the best drivers in the world, the van rolled haphazardly from one side of the road to the other, weaving through trees and ditches until they crashed at high speed into nothing.

Some managed to roll away unhurt; but the majority were either smashed, or sustained multiple fractures.

The accident was remembered as one of the worst incidents of drink driving in the country's history.
