"A Dopey Trade" : This branch was fashioned in answer to a commission but was improvised chapter by chapter as the buyer chose which path to take each time there was a choice. I won't say what the pitch was, because the story was the point.

I will point out the oddball twist that makes this one unique: Though Will is a victim along with other people, in this one he alone emerges in a new body without a set of memories, while everyone else gets to acquire the memories of their new identity, and they get those memories instantly too, which is another break from the usual. I'll leave it to readers to speculate on why this is, and whether it is a clue of some kind.

No prizes will be awarded, though, for guessing who is ultimately behind the shenanigans.
