FABLE IF YOU'RE ABLE
May 2016 Edition Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a fable as: "a short story that usually is about animals and that is intended to teach a lesson or moral." You know the type. We all grew up with stories like The Tortoise and the Hare and The Fox and the Lion. These stories helped raise us and teach us valuable lessons. They are seemingly simple constructs, with characters that have implied personalities (the Lion is brave, the Fox is clever, the Tortoise is patient) and a clever twist with a moral attached to it, but crafting one might be more difficult than you think. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to write me an original fable (bonus points if it is set in the modern world).
