Happy belated-by-like-2-weeks New Year!!!

Wow, nice to see so many posts here, and nice to have YOU back, Danika! Of course we'll have you again...oh, that sounds funky, doesn't it?!

It always fascinates me that in Australia you say December, January, February and think about warm weather rather than dead trees, frostbite, and rain. And it just occurred to me the other day that September and October are spring over there. I mean, duh, right? But I never considered it before.

I just heard an Australian say "Melbourne" and it sounded way different than I've ever heard it. It was like meal-buuun. So cool!!!

Phantom of the Opera: I can't tell you how in love with that movie I am! I loved how sensual and youthful it was. When I saw the play I never really got the vibes of, hey, let's get it on! You know? And some people will really dislike the movie because of it but I thought the amped-up sensuality was beautiful.

I just watched Maria Full of Grace -- have you guys heard of it? It was so amazing and depressing and eye-opening. That stuff actually happens in real life. It's just crazy.
