The Rhymes You Hate

OK, here’s a horrrrrible poem from me then!

I do like many of Emily’s poems! Sí, sí!

But there are some rhymes that just bother me
That are far too common in some poetry.

Night-bright – let’s take this one for a start:
Nonsense! The day’s bright , the night’s rather dark!
Love-above – another rhyme I don’t like to see:
With one above the other, where’s equality?
Together-forever – this one I just hate!
The meaning is nice, but the words sound so fake.

With few exceptions, these rhymes hurt the eye,
Don’t use them, people, let them rot and die!!!
