I've been struggling with the whole strange eating-disorder thing too. It's gotten better in the last year, but before that I did what you're doing... starving and then binging and repeating that... but trying to hide it from everyone and say that everything was fine I just "forgot" to eat sometimes or "wasn't hungry." (See "Invalid Item" )
Now I've made myself eat at least one meal a day... and no more than four. It's an ok balance health-wise but it gives me room to mess up a bit without having to punish myself for it. I'm trying to stop making impossible rules.
