*cries* I put this link on my journal to an article about this anorexic girl who was denied being valedictorian because of her illness, and my friend commented on it and said that she didn't deserve and special treatment, she didn't deserve to be valedictorian, because then other people could try to pull this same "stunt." Stunt. That's what she called it. A stunt. The girl was in a mental hospital trying to get better, and she had to miss six weeks of school because of it, though she did her homework while there. She said she should be lucky she was even graduating.
If she thinks anorexia is a "stunt," what does she think of me? What does she think of cutting? That it's just some stunt? I feel so hurt. How could she say something like that? How could she deny a complete strangers feelings that way? I thought she was so understanding and caring. But now I just wonder what she thinks of me.
