Are you writing for publication?

Hi all, I'm looking to write. I'd like to join a forum with some support; hopefully there is still some life in this one! I'm stressing out like crazy as I query, query, query.

That said, the answer to the clips question is this: ideally, they'd like to see copies of your published works. On the other hand, if you are unpublished, then submit a short article, unpublished. Actually, clips goes with 2 or 3, so send 2-3 copies.

Okay, and my problem: I have combed Writer's Market online and the web, and I'm trying to find a market for a 4000 word boys adventure story. Any suggestions? For now, I guess my best bet is waiting it out and then, once I am world famous <wink>, I can publish a book of short stories. But I'd like to see it do more.
