Writer's Fallout Shelter

Just had to share, because I'm excited about this even though it's worlds away from my fiction writing...I've been asked to contribute an essay to a political book. I might even get a little money for it (though really, that doesn't matter...I've never been paid for my political writing; mostly, I'm excited about having something to add to my resume). Anyway, I've got to whip up the essay in the next week or so. The editors have already garnered some interest from publishers (one is lined up, but they're hoping to find another with wider distribution), and -- very exciting for a political nerd like me -- Greg Palast is going to write the forward.
