Invisible driver,
power sliding around the curve.
I use the round plastic buttons
to correct his every mistake
sliding into the pit stop
as blue turns to red,
traction lost.


Sweaty controller
I grip it with fury.
I am God to invisible men
in tinted windows.
Back on Laguna Seca,
focusing on the hairpin turn.
Square, triangle, circle.
My fingers caress each one
without prejudice.


Bruised tailbone
toothpick eyes
enjoying sleepless nights
in the company of little men,
used cars and new mufflers.
Saturdays alone with the playstation...
