work in progress- writing assignments & links for use in the home school |
1st-3rd grade Day 1: Write three sentences about something you like to do. Don't forget capitals and periods! Day 2: Draw a picture to go with yesterday's assignment. Add a label. Day 3: Re-write your Day 1 sentences in first person i.e. change I to she). Day 4: Add a few details to yesterday's sentences- adjectives, setting, feelings, etc. Make it more interesting. 4th-6th grade: Day 1: Write one good paragraph about a memorable moment in your life. Give it a title. Day 2: Format yesterday's paragraph using ML tags. You can click WritingML under author tools at the left to learn how, but I'd be glad to show you the list I've printed off. That's how I use them! Include the following tags: indent your paragraph, center the title, use at least one underline and one italics. Day 3: Test yesterday's work by posting it in this forum. Ask me how if you can't figure it out! Day 4: Fix any mistakes by editting your post. I can show you that, too! 7th-12th grade: Same as 4th-6th grade. Yes, Andrew, other people will be able to read your paragraph. Live with it. ** Image ID #933346 Unavailable ** |
