Re: Knock Knock, Question time
What is the correct rule of contractions in a story? I have heard many different things.

Something to do with giving birth, ain't it?*Wink*

1) Use only in dialog.
2) Use though out story.
3) Never use in narrative.
4) Never use at all.
4.5) Only use in a first person narrative during dialog and narrative.
5) What's a contraction?

1. Eh?
2. Um...
3. Er..
4. Perhaps?
4.5. Beats me.
5. In a nutshell.

Forget this, I'm going over to YWU.

See ya later, gals and guys.

"Don't say it was 'delightful'; make us say 'delightful' when we've read the description. You see, all those words (horrifying, wonderful, hideous, exquisite) are only like saying to your readers "Please will you do the job for me." ~ C. S. Lewis
