could refer to a Triton missile (obsolete) carrying nuclear sub - or even the decommissioned nuclear submarine, Triton.

But then that could imply that we defer only to our weapon systems.

Great poem, Becky. If I could do 4 more years, I'd try the Navy. Spent plenty enough time living with the Army to know I preferred Air Force life, but always wondered about the Navy...
