What I wish is that I could give a review without rating it. I haven't been on writing.com long and I haven't critiqued much, but I'd much rather just review a piece without having to worry about rating it.
I have never given an anonymous review and probably never will, but I have had a writer, not from here, go ballistic on me once because they disagreed with my assessment of their story. They took suggestions and negative comments as a personal insult, which it wasn't. Based on that experience, I can understand some individuals wanting to post reviews and ratings anonymously.
